- a search engine that works better than chatgpt and google
- i don’t think chatgpt is really good for learning things, it’s much more valuable to parse information written by humans yourself, with your own brain. google/startpage doesnt always seem to have what i’m looking for readily available
- this sounds dumb, but individual’s notes on digital gardens might be a good place that concatenates information that is not easily accessible via google. it’d at least be fun to figure out how search querying works
- it also needs to be “lightweight”, preferably
- able to run on a reasonably up-to-date computer
- plaintext, only, so that an entire scraped database of knowledge is locally accessible without taking up an unreasonable amount of space. you could probably get like, a billion words with 5GiB is all im sayin.
